Austria. Grüner See. Gesäuse National Park

In general, I spent 3 weeks in Austria. The goal was to visit the most stunning natural places there. As I heard so much about Gruener See, I decided to put it on my route.

As you see there are so many spots which are beautiful without being considered touristic ones.

Next picture is Gruener See itself. Usually this lake is full of melting water in May-June, but as I came there in August, it was almost empty.

I really love reflections in water 🙂

Walking to the village to continue the trip to the national park.

The first national park I visited was Gesaeuse National Park. There are different trails, and the first day I have chosen the most complicated one, haha =) Besides it was a really hot day, and often there was no place to hide from the sun.

Water sources saved a lot!!! Drinking water is usually marked as “Trink Wasser”

It is quite difficult to be lost as all trails are well marked.

Next day, another trail was chosen. It was much more pleasant because it was possible to hide in the shadows of the trees. Also views differed totally from the previous ones.

What was surprising for me is that coming to the top of the mountain, there was a guesthouse and some cafe where one could have a rest.
